As one of the main sponsors for The Cricketer's Village Cup 2013, Navigation Brewery were invited to Lords Cricket Ground for the final of the competition on Sunday 8th September.
It was a fantastic day for cricket and beer fans alike, with an exciting game between Rockhampton and Cleator Cricket Clubs and an even more exciting addition to the Lords Long Room Bar - Navigation Brewery's Village Cup Gold. Cleator CC were the winners of the Cup, and after the game, all the players and sponsors were able to enjoy a pint or two of our specially brewed beer.
We'd like to say a big thank you to The Cricketer for hosting the tournament and a big well done to the winning team.
The Robin Hood Beer Festival has been held at the Castle site since 2009 and last year it was estimated that some 25,000 people attended. In 2010 the festival was extended into the City by virtue of ‘Festival Fringe Fortnight’ – providing an opportunity for a selection of city centre pubs to showcase their fine foods and local beers during the week before and after the festival.
Navigation Brewery will be sponsoring the Beer Festival again this year with all our real ales & some seasonals available to try there - get a preview of our beers at all Great Northern Inn pubs, including The Trent Navigation, alongside guest ales, real ciders and specialist beers and lagers which are available throughout the year.
The Trent Navigation, along with The Cross Keys and The Approach will be part of the Fringe Festival Fortnight this year and, as always, will have a great selection of real ales, ciders and an amazing menu for beer lovers to come and enjoy before or after a day at the festival. We'll keep you updated with more information about the festival closer to the time - in the meantime, make sure you're following us on facebook & twitter for news.!

Navigation Brewery was the main tent sponsor at The Robin Hood Beer Festival in Nottingham. We served over 3000 pints of beer to thirsty festival-goers and everyone had a great time at a fantastic event. Well done to the organisers and volunteers at Nottingham CAMRA, we can't wait for next year..
The latest Brewery in Nottingham to win an award for its ale. Dom Flynn and the Team at Navigation Brewery have just been awarded Bronze at the 35th Peterborough Beer Festival 2012 in the fierce category of ‘New Breweries’. This category had ales from over 30 new breweries from all over the UK, with in excess of 60 new ales being judged. Our Classic IPA with an ABV of 5.2% was awarded a respectable bronze! With just over 4 months of brewing at Navigation, Dom and the Team are extremely happy with this award.
We have had lots of success in our Special Ales Range that we have produced to date with Lock Keepers Pride 4.1%, Swallow Dive 4.2%, High and Dry 3.6% and our current special Back of the Net 4.5%, all selling out within a few weeks of production.
